She used his poem in a book (without his permission and without citing him as the author, I believe) and since then the poem has almost taken on a life of its own. Yes, its another Ken! That's 3 on this one thread? I too come from a union background and agree with the responses that it was pure harmless shock value. It pales in comparison to what you claim to have gone through back east. That said, I do not agree that SM is a safe town because of our police. In fact, I'm not impressed with our police at all. THAT is the reason I support a pay raise. We can thank our current pay scale for the quality of police we "enjoy" today. THAT said, I agree that we are a spoiled bunch. How about some responses from non-police officers?
