{"id":15064,"date":"2013-07-11T18:34:58","date_gmt":"2013-07-12T01:34:58","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/?p=15064"},"modified":"2013-07-11T18:34:58","modified_gmt":"2013-07-12T01:34:58","slug":"the-spero-foundation-the-2013-sierra-madre-fourth-of-july-firecracker-fun-run-report","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/?p=15064","title":{"rendered":"The Spero Foundation &#038; the 2013 Sierra Madre Fourth of July Firecracker Fun Run Report"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/sperologosm.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-4904\" title=\"sperologosm\" src=\"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/sperologosm-300x186.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"186\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/sperologosm-300x186.jpg 300w, http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/sperologosm-150x93.jpg 150w, http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/wordpress\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/10\/sperologosm.jpg 432w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a>Press Release posted 7\/11\/13 &#8211;<\/em> The Spero Foundation and the Sierra Madre Fourth of July Committee welcomed over 200 participants to this year\u2019s <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/www.sierramadrenews.net\/?p=14348\" target=\"_blank\">3<sup>rd<\/sup> Annual Fire Cracker Fun Run<\/a><\/strong>.\u00a0 At the request of many runners last year, the course was designed to be an official 5K run; however, in keeping with the model \u201cFun Run\u201d there was no official time but there was definitely a race for the finish line.<\/p>\n<p>This year the city of Sierra Madre had 102 of the registered runners; other cities represented included;\u00a0 Monrovia, Arcadia, Bradbury, LA Canada, La Crescenta, South Pasadena, San Gabriel, Temple City, Orange, Pasadena and Los Angeles.\u00a0 The Fun Run also welcomed runners from Arizona, Illinois, Oregon and Wisconsin.<\/p>\n<p>The Spero Foundation would like to thank generous event sponsors; Foothill HomeCare Partners, Active Rehabilitation, Congress Medical Associates, Road ID, Savor The Flavor, Frank &amp; Patricia Hall, Leonora Moss, Peppertree Grill, Prudential Realty, Sierra Madre Community Foundation, Sierra Madre Kiwanis Club, Sierra Madre Pizza Company and Crystal Geyser.<\/p>\n<p>Additional thanks go out to the Sierra Madre Fourth of July Committee &amp; all their volunteer and city staff for making the day such a huge success.
