Press Release posted 4\/2\/14 –<\/em> The 52nd annual Friends of the Sierra Madre Library\u2019s Art Fair will be held in Memorial Park, 222 West Sierra Madre Blvd, Sierra Madre, on Saturday, May 3, 2014 from 9:30AM to 6:00PM and Sunday, May 4, 2014, from 9:30AM to 5:00PM.\u00a0 More than 90 artists will be displaying and selling their fine arts throughout the weekend.\u00a0 Mediums include oil painting, jewelry, water colors, glass, wood, metal, photography, pottery, ceramics, mixed media, and weaving.\u00a0 \u00a0The Art Fair will be the place to be to find that perfect Mother\u2019s Day, graduation, or wedding gift and to find pieces that you will be proud to wear or to display in your home.<\/p>\n

Live music will be featured throughout the weekend in the band shell and on the south lawn.\u00a0 Guests will enjoy an eclectic selection of music that\u2019s sure to please even the most discriminating ear. \u00a0\u00a0Food trucks will be on hand to offer you many tempting choices for lunch or for a delicious snack.\u00a0 And, of course, the Friends of the Library will have a booth selling their famous sweet breads and quick breads.<\/p>\n

This year the Fair is adding a wine and beer garden in the afternoons (Saturday from 1-5 and Sunday from 1-4).\u00a0\u00a0 For the children, the Creative Arts Group has planned a butterfly making activity on Saturday and Sunday from 10am-4pm.<\/p>\n

Also again this year the Fair will have a silent auction.\u00a0 Many of the artists who are displaying and selling their creations at this year\u2019s fair have donated lovely, one-of-a-kind pieces for the auction which means that you\u2019ll have a chance to bid on some really beautiful artwork.<\/p>\n
