If you visit the City of Sierra Madre website, which is currently being revamped and redesigned behind the scenes, and you go to the Community and Personnel Services Department page on the site, right at the top, you’ll see a link to a community calendar.\u00a0 When you click on that link, it will take you to the News Net’s community calendar.\u00a0 The web address\u00a0if you want to go directly to\u00a0that calendar is www.SierraMadreCalendar.info<\/a>, or, you can always find a link to the calendar on the SierraMadreNews.Net home page, in our blogroll on the right side of the page.<\/div>\n

On the community calendar, you will find the date, time and location of all the City Commission meetings, as well as events that take place in Sierra Madre throughout the year.\u00a0 If the listing on a\u00a0date is underlined, that means the listing is also a link.\u00a0 The link may be to the official website for the event, or it may be a link to an article that we have done about the event that offers more information about the event.\u00a0 From what we’ve seen, this is the most comprehensive Sierra Madre calendar found anywhere.\u00a0 We do our best to stay at least three months ahead, but there’s so much going on in this town that occasionally something goes up a little late or get’s missed.\u00a0 But you can help us with that.\u00a0 Here’s how…<\/p>\n

If you notice an event needs to be added, or if you have an upcoming Sierra Madre non-commercial meeting or event that you’d like to add to the calendar, (no, we don’t mean little Stevie’s birthday party, Todd’s bachelor party,\u00a0or Maria’s quinziniera), e-mail it to us at info@SierraMadreNews.net<\/a>, and type “Please add my event to the community calendar” in the subject line.\u00a0 There’s a link at the top of the calendar page that says “Submit your Sierra Madre event for inclusion on the calendar” which, when clicked on, will open an e-mail that is already pre-addressed with the subject line -preloaded.<\/p>\n

We use a third party calendar site to produce this calendar, and there are occasional glitches, the most common of which is an occasional failure to load.\u00a0 Just hit refresh, and it will reload to the original page.\u00a0 Because the domain is re-directed, it will always reload to the original page, not the page you may have moved to.\u00a0 This also means that bookmarking an event will not bookmark the actual event, it will bookmark the original calendar.
