Press Release posted 12\/29\/15<\/em> – Former Mayor and current Councilmember John Harabedian has announced that he plans to seek reelection to the Sierra Madre City Council in the upcoming April 12, 2016 election. Harabedian, along with Mayor Capoccia, was elected to a four-year term on the City Council in April 2012, and desires to return for a second term.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt\u2019s been an honor to serve Sierra Madre over the past four years,\u201d Harabedian stated.\u00a0 \u201cDuring that time, we have made great strides in solving some of the real challenges facing the City\u2013 including our budget and water issues \u2013 and I believe we need experienced leadership over the next four years to finish the job.\u00a0 That\u2019s why I am running for reelection.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cThe City would be lucky to have Mayor Capoccia for another four years on City Council,\u201d Harabedian noted. \u201cI hope the citizens give both of us the opportunity to continue the work we have been doing on Council since being elected in 2012.\u201d<\/p>\n

The nomination period for two four-year City Council seats opened on December 21, 2015, and closes on January 15, 2016.\u00a0 Capoccia and Harabedian both have pulled nomination papers.<\/p>\n
