Sierra Madre Blvd.<\/strong>\u00a0 Unknown suspect(s) removed a living room window screen and tried to pry open the window.\u00a0 No entry was made and the suspect(s) left in an unknown direction.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Tuesday, September 13<sup>th<\/sup>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>4:52 PM- Assist to other Agency, 200 blk. Rancho Rd.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves an Adult Protective Service case involving a possible neglect on a 75-year old man.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Wednesday, September 14<sup>th<\/sup>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12:00 PM- Petty Theft, 700 blk. E. Sierra Madre Blvd.<\/strong>\u00a0 An unknown suspect(s) entered an unlocked car between 11:40 am and 12:00 PM. The suspect stole a black diaper bag containing a wallet, $100.00, a CA license, and personal items.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>4:49 PM- Trespassing on Real Property, 400 blk. Ramona Ave.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves a 15-year old female and a 16-year old male trespassing on private property to smoke marijuana.\u00a0 The juveniles were in possession of marijuana.\u00a0 Both juveniles were cited and released to their parents.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Thursday, September 15<sup>th<\/sup>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>10:13 AM- Child Neglect, 100 blk. Auburn Ave.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves a 5-year old girl wandering around the neighbor\u2019s apartments without the parent\u2019s knowledge.<\/p>\n<p><strong>1:28 PM- Battery Against Current\/Ex-Spouse\/Cohab-Non Cohab, 400 blk. Mariposa Ave.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves a man and a woman fighting inside their home.\u00a0 Further investigation revealed that the primary aggressor was the husband.\u00a0 The 43-year old man was arrested and later released on a citation.<\/p>\n<p><strong>4:05 PM- Battery, 500 Woodland Dr.<\/strong> Officers responded to a fight between two 59-year old men.\u00a0 There were no independent witnesses and neither was desirous of prosecution.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Friday, September 16<sup>th<\/sup>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>1:50 PM- Use Another\u2019s Personal Identification to Obtain Credit\/Etc.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves the unauthorized use of the victim\u2019s credit card number.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>3:49 PM- Petty Theft, 300 blk. N. Canon Dr.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves an unknown suspect(s) that stole 80-100 red clay Spanish roof tiles from a roof of a home under construction.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>10:08 PM- DUI Alcohol\/Drugs, Foothill Blvd and W. Baldwin Ave.<\/strong>\u00a0 An officer stopped a 33-year old Anaheim motorist for a Vehicle Code violation and determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.\u00a0 The driver was arrested and transported to Pasadena Police Department for booking.<\/p>\n<p><strong><em>Saturday, September 17<sup>th<\/sup>:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>12:43 AM- Willfully Resists, Delays, Obstructs, 100 blk. W. Sierra Madre Blvd.<\/strong>\u00a0 This case involves a 42-year old intoxicated man that ran away from an officer.\u00a0 The man was arrested and transported to Pasadena Police Department Jail for obstruction and public intoxication.\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><strong>10:31 AM- Grand Theft Exceeding $950, 600 blk. W. Sierra Madre Blvd.<\/strong>\u00a0 Unknown suspect(s) phoned an 82-year old woman and claimed to be her grandson.\u00a0 The caller told her that he had been in an accident involving serious injuries.\u00a0 Another man came on the line and claimed to be the grandson\u2019s public defender.\u00a0 The second man told the victim that she needed to wire the man $3,000.00 to pay the injured parties on behalf of her grandson.\u00a0 The victim believed him and wired $3000.00 via Western Union to a name and address in the Dominican Republic. After doing so, the suspect called the victim again and asked that an additional $3,000.00 be wired to dismiss the case.\u00a0 The victim was about to send the additional funds from her bank, when a bank official intervened, suspecting that she was the victim of a fraud.\u00a0 Further investigation revealed that the victim\u2019s grandson was not involved in an accident and had no knowledge of the scam.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Posted 9\/20\/11 &#8211; During the week of Sunday, September 11th, to Saturday September 17th, the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 312 calls for service.
