Topics include native plant gardening, rainwater harvesting, backyard fruit and vegetable growing, tree selection and tree care, composting and mulching, controlling invasive plants, and creating a fire safe landscape. Owen Dell, author of Sustainable Landscaping for Dummies<\/a> will be speaking and signing books.<\/p>\n

\nThe San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy (RMC) was created by the California legislature in 1999 and is one of ten conservancies within the California Resources Agency. The mission of the RMC is to preserve open space and habitat in order to provide for low-impact recreation and educational uses, wildlife habitat restoration and protection, and watershed improvements within their jurisdiction.<\/p>\n
