Music News Update

by Sierra Madre Sue Behrens

I saw BARRY "BIG B" BRENNER for the first time at the beginning of January, even though I had been listing some of his gigs in my Music News for a couple months before that.  My friends Paul & Christine had recommended him and assured me that I would like him, and they were right!  As I write this, I am listening to some of the tunes on his MySpace site: good ol' fashioned blues guitar pickin' and a voice that conjures up visions of the Mississippi Delta.  He plays alot around the greater San Gabriel Valley, so you have many chances to see him.  Check out his website for the complete calender:  www.bigbbrenner.com
Attached is a photo of Barry and me from his last appearance at Cafe 322.

Hope to see you out & about,
We're going to post links to past Music News columns, not because it makes sense to post outdated calendar items, but just so you can look up the name of the band that played at that place last Thursday that it's driving you crazy that you can't remember.  Actually, we may also add to some of the old columns by creating links at the blurb about an event, if we cover it and have either photos or videos that we've posted for that event.
