Music News Update

by Sierra Madre Sue Behrens

June 21st marks the first day of Summer and the longest day of the year.  Baseball is in full swing (no pun intended) and I've only been to 2 games so far this season.  I went last Saturday with 7 of my softball pals, on a 9-hour tour that started at the Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line station & included a stop at Olvera Street, a wild cab ride, some off-roading, a footbridge over the freeway, and a walk through Chinatown!  The fact that the Dodgers couldn't score a run and got beat by the Angels 3-0 was insignificant compared to the memorable adventures we shared that day, and depending on who you talk to, their are different versions of the story!  What does this have to do with the Music News?  Absolutely nothing.  It's just a good excuse to show this photo of me and one of my heroes, Vin Scully, circa 1994 (click to enlarge).  LONG MAY HE LIVE!  No one else even comes close.......

Please remember to call and verify all info. before making plans.  Everything is subject to change.  This is show biz, after all.
We're going to post links to past Music News columns, not because it makes sense to post outdated calendar items, but just so you can look up the name of the band that played at that place last Thursday that it's driving you crazy that you can't remember.  Actually, we may also add to some of the old columns by creating links at the blurb about an event, if we cover it and have either photos or videos that we've posted for that event.
