The Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce and the Sierra Madre Pioneer Days Association held a Chili Cook-off on Saturday, October 9th from at the E. Waldo Ward and Son Ranch.  Nine contestants broke out their chili recipes and local food expert Pat Krok judged who makes the best chili in town.  First prize was a Stock pot/ kitchen utensil set and the winner's name on the perpetual trophy at City Hall.  Second and third place winners received 2nd and 3rd place trophies.  Third place went to Altadena Lions club and Philip Cabot and Rosa Johnson, Second place went to Nate Hyatt of Mountain Views.  The winner was a group of guys who called themselves "The Ugly Brothers" (Tom Wynne, Scott Buchan, and Greg Jorgensen).  Click on a photo below to enlarge it.
