Each year Sierra Madre merchants open their doors to trick or treaters and distribute candy to all the youngsters who drop by.  The Sierra Madre Chamber of Commerce posts a sign on the windows/doors of participating establishments, and hundreds of kids travel in costume from store to store.  When it's all over, there's a parade from Kersting Court to Memorial Park, led by a fire engine.  At Memorial Park, there's a costume contest, and kids who entered their names at Kersting Court prior to the parade get to compete for prizes.  Here are some pics from the trick or treating downtown.  Click on the photo to enlarge it.
