MUSIC NEWS REPORT

By SierraMadreSue Behrens

Another cool Montrose hangout closed it's doors last week, as BRIAN the owner/bartender of the SKYEBOX hangs up his martini shaker & moves on to other endeavors.  Regular customers who had become like family were on hand to say goodbye.  Pictured here with Brian are Felicia & Danny of THE SUBS and BETTER THAN BLUE, who used to host the weekly jam nights there.  You can see them perform this weekend at the DOCKSIDE GRILL in West Covina.  As for BRIAN and the SKYEBOX, I will miss his killer mai tais, but I won't miss carrying band equipment up those stairs!  GOOD LUCK BRIAN!

We're going to post links to past Music News columns, not because it makes sense to post outdated calendar items, but just so you can look up the name of the band that played at that place last Thursday that it's driving you crazy that you can't remember.  Actually, we may also add to some of the old columns by creating links at the blurb about an event, if we cover it and have either photos or videos that we've posted for that event.
