Johnny Starr and The Galaxy Bring Oldies to Memorial Park 4th of July Evening’s Oldies Concert Rocks!  Johnny Starr and the Galaxy rocked Sierra Madre with the best hits of the ‘60s and ‘70s on Sunday evening, the 4th of July, in Memorial Park. Seven band members, playing guitar, keyboard, tenor and baritone sax, drums, and vocals, played favorite tunes  by the Beatles, Elvis Presley, Pretenders, Van Morrison, Rolling Stones, Elton John, among many others.  These seven band members have been together for more than seven years. The concert was free to the public, and was sponsored by the Sierra Madre 4th of July Committee.  Click on a photo below to see it larger.
