Local Resident Wins a Kindle Fire From Library Adult Summer Reading Program, EBook Workshops Scheduled

Donna Singer shows off the Kindle Fire she won through Library's Summer Reading Program

Press Release posted 8/28/12 – Donna Singer was the lucky winner of a Kindle Fire eReader in the Sierra Madre Public Library Adult Summer Reading Program.  Ninety-five adults entered the drawing this summer, sponsored and funded by the Friends of the Library.  “eReaders are a wonderful idea and handy for travelling”, said Donna, “a big thank you to the Friends of the Library”. Donna can now download free eBooks from the Library and has already signed up for an eReader class.

Patrons are invited to the Library to learn how to download free eBooks to a Kindle, iPad, Nook and other mobile devices.  The Library owns all the devices and staff is happy to show people how easy it is to use and read an eBook.
