Kiwanis to Hold 3rd Annual Boot-Skootin’ Dance and Chili Cook-off Saturday

Press Release posted 5/7/13 –The Kiwanis Club of Sierra Madre invites you to their 3rd annual Boot Skootin’ Dance & Chili Cook-Off Fund

Raiser, to be held on Saturday May 11th from 6 to 10pm in the Sierra Madre Room at the Rec. Center, 611 E. Sierra Madre Blvd.!  Cost of tickets is $25.  All proceeds go toward children’s activities and other worthy causes in your community!  Radio host and renowned food critic, Peter Dills will be on hand again this year to judge a delicious line-up of chili recipes prepared by some of your favorite local restaurateurs and local home kitchen cooks who will compete for the winning prizes!

Henry Duenas and his hip, handsome hatted scooters will also be returning this year to provide free line dancing instruction for all who wish to kick up their boots to a variety of country-western tunes! Complimentary chili tasting and light snacks will be provided along with a no host bar to help wash it all down. There will be a raffle for all ticket holders, and a silent auction for those who want to participate.
