Press Release posted 1/18/14Richard L. Chinen officially announced the theme for the 2015 Tournament of Roses Parade, “Inspiring Stories”.  “The 2015 theme allows us to reflect on and appreciate the many people around us who elevate the human spirit by who they are, what they have done and what they continue to do,” said Chinen. “Inspiring Stories pays tribute to those who have loved unconditionally, persevered courageously, endured patiently and accomplished much on behalf of others. Whether for justice, for charity or for any other good, these stories stand out because they are about those who reach out beyond themselves with humility and resolve.”

SMRFA invites you to put on your thinking caps and put the pencil to the paper and submit your float design ideas for its entry in the 2015 Tournament of Roses Parade. A simple pencil sketch is all that is needed, SMRFA will turn it into the completed design, however, more detail can help in the design selection process. The contest is open to all ages.  Click here to download the rules and all forms needed to participate.  The image in the upper left is a sample pencil sketch,  and the bottom picture is the completed float from the original pencil sketch. Entries must be received by SMRFA no later than 5pm, February 14th, 2014 to be eligible for consideration.
