Winning design "Kids Running In Mt. Wilson, by Peyton Thomas, 2nd grade, SM School
Posted 5/25/14 – The 9th Annual Kids Fun Run was held at this year’s Mt Wilson Trail Race. After the grown-ups hit the trail, two races for the kids are held. Kids 3 to 6 years old run from Kersting Court up to Highland Ave. and back, and kids 7 to 12 run up to Mira Monte and back. Thanks to generous donations by CATZ and the Sierra Madre Community Foundation, all participants received ribbons, and the first 250 kids that signed up got free t-shirts, with artwork by Sierra Madre School second grader Peyton Thomas, who won a design competition (click image at left to enlarge to see the winning design).
