SMPD, SMFD, CERT, SM Emergency Communications Team, and the World Famous Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team were all on hand at National Night Out. Booths were set up and demonstrations put on. The In-n-Out truck dispensed free burgers. Enjoy the picture gallery below, and the video (coming soon, my browser tells me it’s got about 2 hours to go on the upload, if all goes well). This video features a discussion about smoke alarms and fire extinguishers, kids using extinguishers to put out fires, discussion about CERT, a “Go” drill demonstration by two firefighters, and a demonstration of equipment that lets firefighters know if a colleague is down.
