Posted 12/8/11 – On Tuesday, Dec. 13, The Kiwanis Club of Sierra Madre will host a public forum to discuss the emergency response to the recent windstorm. The forum will concentrate on ways to improve emergency procedures and be better prepared for the next disaster. The event will include a panel of representatives from City departments, including the Police and Fire Departments. Representatives from Southern California Gas Co. and SCE have also been invited. The public is invited to ask questions and learn how we all can be better prepared for emergencies.
The forum will be from noon until 2pm, and lunch (optional) will be served. Reservations for lunch are required; please call 355-0728. The location is The Lodge, 33 E. Sierra Madre Blvd. Parking is available in the back of the building.
