Monday August 27, 2012

Parents brought their uncooperative and combative juvenile daughter to the police station seeking assistance.  During the investigation, officers determined that the juvenile had battered both her mother and a sibling earlier in the day and she was taken into custody.  During a search of the juvenile, a dagger was found concealed in her sleeve.  The juvenile was arrested for Possession of a Dagger and detained at Eastlake Juvenile Facility.

Tuesday August 28, 2012

A traffic collision took place at Sierra Madre Boulevard and Park Avenue when the driver lost control while making a right turn.  The vehicle sideswiped two other parked vehicles and pushed one of the parked vehicles into another vehicle.

Alcohol was not a factor.

Wednesday August 29, 2012

At 5:45pm, the Pasadena PD Helicopter was over the area of Chantry Flats and observed a vehicle driving erratically. SMPD officers responded and located the vehicle near Santa Anita Avenue and Elkins.  Upon spotting the officers, the four occupants ran from the vehicle but stopped in response to the officers’ commands.   It was determined that the driver (a 16 year old male) was under the influence of marijuana.  He was arrested for Driving Under the Influence and released to his parents.

During the evening, unknown suspects vandalized a business in the 100 block West Sierra Madre Boulevard by marking a window and electrical box with blue spray paint.  Witnesses reported seeing a male walking in between the businesses and entering a black Volkswagen Bug Convertible that had been parked at the curb for a period of time.   The case is still under investigation.

At 10:30pm, a vehicle was observed speeding in the area of Sierra Madre Boulevard and Sunnyside Avenue.  After stopping the vehicle, the officer determined that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.  The driver (44 year old female) was booked for DUI.
