Press Release posted 10/25/12 - St. Rita alum and Cathedral High School senior, Hayden Rettig, has been selected to play in the prestigious US Army All-American Bowl in 2013. Rettig will join the nation’s top 90 high school football players in the East vs. West game at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas on Saturday, Jan. 5.

“It’s a great honor playing in this game,” Rettig said. “These men [US Army] work so hard every day to provide for us and protect us…I can’t wait to show them that I can be one of their country’s great quarterbacks.”

In January, Rettig will be heading off to college-football powerhouse Louisiana State University (LSU), where he is committed to playing quarterback. His family is no stranger to football talent. Hayden’s older brother, Chase, is the starting quarterback for Boston College and one of the leading passers in the ACC.
