Posted 11/28/12 – Mercy and the Merkettes will entertain the guests at the 14th annual “Kick Off the Holiday Season” benefit for the Foothill Unity Center. The benefit will be held at The Lodge at Sierra Madre, located at 33 East Sierra Madre Blvd, on Saturday, Dec. 8th from 5:30pm to 10pm. Guests are asked to bring a cash or check donation and/or an unwrapped gift for a child of any age (last year’s event raised an amazing $11,400 and a truck load of toys as well!). Also, please bring your choice of beverage to share.
In addition, sponsorship donations are being sought to help fund the band, the hall rental, and food and supplies.

Foothill Unity Center is a non-profit, non-denominational agency celebrating its 31st year of serving people in crisis with love and dignity. Last year, the center distributed over 4.23 million pounds of food to over 4600 non-duplicated local families in crisis, along with clothing and referrals. This year the Center is preparing to provide Holidaygifts and meals for over 1,800 families and 3,000 children.
