Sierra Madre Police Dept. logoDuring the week of Sunday, December 11th, 2011 to Saturday, December 17th, 2011 the Sierra Madre Police Department responded to approximately 271 calls for service.

Monday, December 12th

10:59 AM – Arrest, Unlicensed Driver and Possession of Marijuana. 100 Block S. Baldwin Ave. An officer stopped a motorist for a Vehicle Code violation. Further investigation revealed the motorist was driving without a valid driver’s license and was in possession of less than an ounce of marijuana. The motorist was cited for the violations and released on a written promise to appear in court.

Tuesday, December 13th

2:19 AM – Arrest, Public Intoxication, 100 Block E. Highland Ave. Officers responded to a call of a distressed female pounding at the front door of a residence possibly in need of medical attention. Officers arrived and found the female under the influence of alcohol and unable to care for herself or others. She was arrested for public intoxication and transported to Pasadena Police Department jail for booking.

Wednesday, December 14th

4:05 AM – Battery, 300 Block W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Officers responded to a call of a physical altercation at the Drop a Load Laundry, between two adult females and the boyfriend of one of the females involved. Each party alleges that the other person pushed a cart into them. Officers found no injuries to either female. The battery investigation was forwarded to the District Attorney Office for filling considerations.

8:42 PM – Arrest, Suspended License, 100 W. Sierra Madre Blvd. An officer stopped a motorist for a Vehicle Code violation.  Investigation revealed the motorist was driving on a suspended/revoked driver’s license.  The motorist was cited for the misdemeanor violation and released on a written promise to appear in court.

Thursday, December 15th

6:50 PM – Arrest, Possession of Stolen Property, Foothill Blvd and Santa Anita Ave. An officer stopped a motorist after the patrol car’s license plate reader system alerted the officer of a stolen license plate attached to the motorist’s car. The motorist admitted to stealing the license plate for the purposed of avoiding to pay the vehicle’s registration fees. The motorist was arrested and transported to Pasadena Police jail for booking.

11:02 PM – Arrest, Unlicensed Driver, Baldwin Ave. and Orange Grove Ave. An officer stopped a motorist for a Vehicle Code violation. Further investigation revealed the motorist was driving without a valid driver’s license. The motorist was cited for the misdemeanor violation and released on a written promise to appear in court.

Saturday, December 17th

2:54 PM – Arrest, Unlicensed Driver, Orange Grove Ave. and Lima St. An officer stopped a motorist for a Vehicle Code violation. Further investigation revealed the motorist was driving without a valid driver’s license. The motorist was cited for the misdemeanor violation and released on a written promise to appear in court.

8:23 PM – Theft, 100 Block W. Sierra Madre Blvd. Unknown suspect(s) stole the victim’s wallet, $300.00 in cash, and a cell phone from the victim’s unattended purse. The total loss is valued at $125.00.

10:42 PM – Theft From A Vehicle, 100 Block E. Mira Monte Ave.  Unknown suspect(s) stole a monitor screen from the vehicle’s backing up video system. The suspect(s) entered the unlocked vehicle parked in the street and stole the property. The loss is valued at $100.00.
