Math Field Day Students Recognized

At City Council last evening, 49 students were recognized for their participation in the PUSD Math Field Day Competition.  Sierra Madre School Ass’t. Principal Garrett Newsom introduced 10 students each from 4th, 5th, 6th, and 8th grade, and nine students from seventh grade.  According to Newsom, the Sierra Madre School students came in first overall in the competition in all five of those grades.  He added that the winning PHS team for ninth graders included three more former Sierra Madre School students of the four on the team.
