Hi Sierra Madre News Net,

We wanted to share the exciting news that the Sierra Madre Search and Rescue Team, a local nonprofit organization in Sierra Madre, has been selected as one of four finalists in the Seattle’s Best Coffee Brew-lanthropy Project.

In March, Seattle’s Best Coffee kicked off the Brew-lanthropy Project to seek out those doing the most good — the staff and volunteers of nonprofits — to reward them with a ‘Coffee Makeover’ and a $5,000 donation to fuel their mission.  The first ‘Coffee Makeover’ was awarded to Blackstone Bicycle Works in Chicago for their dedication to teaching neighborhood kids life lessons through bike mechanics and healthy living.

Now, Seattle’s Best is asking America where to go next by voting on the top four finalists on the  Seattle’s Best Coffee Facebook page to reward another deserving charity with a coffee makeover. Facebook fans will be able to vote May 11 – May 18 to determine the winner, which will be announced on May 19. The grand prize winner will receive a coffee break room makeover by HGTV’s “Design on a Dime” star Frank Fontana, free coffee for a year, a $5,000 donation and more.  Each finalist will be awarded $500 worth of Seattle’s Best Coffee.

Best,

Kendal A.
