Frosty Returns to Kersting Court

Every year since 1988, with the exception of 2010, Frosty has arrived in Kersting Court at some time during the holiday season. Originally, he was on Sierra Madre Blvd. up near the west end of the park by the crosswalk, for some time now he’s been on Baldwin Ave.. He’s arrived on Christmas Eve, the night of the candlelight walk, New Year’s Eve, but he’s always arrived, again, except last year. But he’s back!!! Thanks to Dave Forrester, Andrew Graper and Augie Eck, he’s back, and bigger than ever! This year, there were three truckloads of “snow” used to build the biggest snowman that’s been there in all the years we’ve been covering it. Thanks to Pickwick Ice in Burbank, which donates the “snow” to build our very own Frosty. The picture above left is this year’s Frosty, the one on the bottom is the snowman from the first year, 1988. Below the links to our coverage from previous years, you’ll find a gallery of the making
