GATEWAY COACH COMMUNITY LOOP - (FORMERLY THE ROUND-A-BOUT): The new transit program will modify the existing Round-a-bout Route, which has a new name and will extend into the Sierra Madre Villa station in Pasadena. This service will continue to run Monday through Friday from 10:00 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. continuously with no lunch break, and take an estimated 45-50 minutes for a complete loop. There is a 50 fee for this for non-exempt riders. Exempt riders include seniors (65 and older), disabled, and youth (16 and under) with an ID card.  ID cards may be purchased at no additional cost at the Community Recreation Center. The Gateway Coach is designed to service passengers at various stops all over town, which will soon host signs to the Gateway Coach. However, for the rider's convenience, courtesy stops are made along the route to pick up those who were unable to make the stop, and just flag the bus down.   Click on the picture at left for a map of the route.

NEW Gateway Coach - Gold Line Shuttle (Expanded Round-a-bout Service): The opening of the Sierra Madre Villa Gold Line Station in Pasadena, scheduled for July 29, 2003, allows service from Sierra Madre directly to Union Station in downtown Los Angeles and all stops in between. The new program includes a special commuter service during peak commuter hours, Monday through Friday 6:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. The Gateway Coach -Gold Line Shuttle will operate a simple circular route of Sierra Madre and include the Sierra Madre Vi/la Gold Line Station. This loop is estimated to take 30 minutes to complete and a fee of 50 will be charged. However, seniors (65 and older), disabled, and youth (16 and under) will be exempt with an ID card that is available through the Community Services Department. This route W1LL NOT take effect until the Gold Line Station is open for service.
