ACS Relay For Life Raises More Than $108,000 To Fight Cancer  This weekend's Sierra Madre ACS Relay For Life had raised more than $108,000 as of 7:50 am on Sunday, and the event was still going on at that time.  ACS President Susan Clifton stated that she anticipated passing $110,000 by the time the event was over.  Leading the way was the Civic Club Team, raising more than $10,800.  In second place was the Sierra Madre Elementary School Team, which raised more than $7,800, followed by St. Rita's Team, which brought in just over $7,400.  There were 21 registered teams listed in the program.  In addition to the money raised by teams, additional funding came from corporate sponsors, local merchant sponsors, local families, and the sale of Luminarias, dedicated to cancer victims, both survivors and those who were unable to defeat the disease.
